Terms of Service

GatherReel is a private photo- and video-sharing service for events. By purchasing an event, hosting one, or joining one as a guest, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

A host purchases a single event. Guests join that event through the host's private link or QR code and can view and contribute photos, videos, comments, and reactions inside that event only. Each plan includes a gallery window (from 14 to 365 days from the event date, depending on plan) during which the gallery stays available for viewing and download. After the window ends, the gallery is no longer accessible, and we make no commitment that content remains available or retrievable beyond it. Download your keepsakes before your window closes, or extend your gallery's availability from your profile at any time.

2. Your content

You own what you upload. By uploading, you give us the limited license needed to store, process, and display your content to the members of your event — that's the product working, and nothing more. Hosts can remove any content from their event; we may remove content that violates these terms. When content is deleted by you or the host, we remove it from production systems promptly and from backups on their rotation schedule. Some sponsored events carry a promotional-use notice on the event door; by joining and uploading at those events you additionally allow the event's host and its named sponsors to use content you share there for promotion.

3. Acceptable use

No unlawful content, no harassment, no content that violates others' rights (including uploading photos of people who asked not to be photographed), no attempting to access events you are not a member of, and no reselling access without a partner agreement. We may suspend accounts or events that break these rules.

4. Payments and refunds

Events are one-time purchases processed by Stripe. Our refund policy is described on the Refunds page and is part of these terms.

5. Privacy

Events are private by default: only people with the event link or QR code can join, and only members can see content. How we handle personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Service changes and availability

We aim for the service to be available throughout your event, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may improve or change features over time; we will not materially reduce what a purchased, not-yet-held event includes.

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost memories from content that is no longer available after your plan's gallery window.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
